This is my second time staying here within the last 2 years and I’m still shocked to find fragranced hand-wash in the bathrooms. I would assume that majority of the guests staying at the hotel are performing Umrah so why not make it easy by having non-fragranced hand wash? During Umrah and while in the state of ihram, applying anything fragranced to the body is not allowed. This is something that everyone agrees on without debate. I personally arrived in the state of Ihram to perform Umrah but did not perform my umrah until 18 hours after check-in. During those 18 hours my family and I used the bathroom several times but we had to be careful not to use the fragranced hand wash in the bathroom. This is an unnecessary stress. I always bring my own non-fragranced hand wash and lotion just in case but I have elderly parents who may forget to use the non-fragranced hand wash I bring. I really hope Swissotel could be thoughtful and accommodating during my next stay considering that majority of the guests staying at the hotel are there for Umrah. Thank you!
